Quest Diagnostics (NYSE: DGX), the global leader in diagnostic information services, and NewYork-Presbyterian, one of the nation’s largest and most comprehensive academic medical centers, today announced a strategic agreement designed to expand access to high quality, innovative laboratory services to providers and NewYork-Presbyterian patients primarily in New York and in the Tri-State Area and beyond.

Pursuant to a definitive agreement, Quest will acquire select assets of NewYork-Presbyterian’s laboratory services business. NewYork-Presbyterian will continue to own and operate world-renowned hospital laboratories, including its anatomical pathology services, to continue providing high-quality, complex clinical laboratory services with its academic partners.
