Boomi™, the leading provider of intelligent connectivity and automation, announced today that SATEBA, a European leader in the design and supply of concrete elements for railway infrastructure, has implemented the Boomi AtomSphere™ platform to overhaul its information systems to both Accelerate growth as well as develop sustainable railway solutions Support decarbonization initiatives.
Following its independence from the Consolis Group and its acquisition by TowerBrook Capital in early 2021, SATEBA sought to accelerate its digital transformation by modernizing its IT systems to improve its operational efficiency and ability to innovate. To do this, the company needed to structure and streamline the flow of information between applications to provide streamlining and data quality across key business functions, including manufacturing/supply chain, finance/accounting, and HR/payroll, as well as specific Software-a-Service (SaaS) solutions that the company uses.
Operating in ten countries across Europe, SATEBA relied on Boomi’s integration platform as a service (iPaaS) to harmonize all its processes, set up real-time data flows, and implement common tools for its 16 production sites and development center within just six ensure months. For the project, Boomi worked closely with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider IFS and integration partners.

SATEBA’s IT department and management team chose the Boomi platform for its ease of use, low-code approach and rapid deployment. In modernizing their information systems, a key priority for SATEBA’s IT department was to ensure business continuity across the 16 production sites, as well as ensuring connectivity and data access for the approximately 230 users of the centralized platform, for the benefit of the organization’s 1,000 employees who often are in the field.
Beginning in 2021, at the start of the new ERP rollout, SATEBA worked with Boomi, IFS and integration partners Fekra and BeeBay to create Boomi flows that would standardize processing and streamline data transfer between applications. In total, more than 25 application interface flows, including 20 real-time data flows, were implemented for the first time in a pilot phase in Finland. After the successful pilot, which lasted less than six months, SATEBA accelerated the rollout to the organization’s remaining 16 sites across Europe and its development and test center.
