Eye-Minders, a leading provider of breakthrough and assistive mind decoding technology, today announced its first consumer-centric solutions at the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 at booth #62000.
By analyzing a person’s eyes (software), Eye-Minders can provide new reliable and accurate information about the user’s interest, engagement, feelings and well-being. These new layers of information can help increase AR/VR/XR adoption by improving user well-being (including cybersickness), enhancing gaming experiences, and improving monetization.
“Cybersickness (nausea, dizziness, headache) is a new challenge affecting 36% to 66% of VR/AR/XR users. Adding to this, stress (caused by bullying, violence, isolation, FOMO, cybercrime) associated with social media usage is expected to increase in the Metaverse. These issues could hamper the adoption of headsets,” said Dr. Daphna Palti-Wasserman, Founder and CEO of Eye-Minders. “We are excited to announce our new software solution to detect and minimize cyber sickness and stress in various AR/VR/XR applications. Users will be notified when a break is recommended; parental controls can be enabled to notify parents in real-time if their children are experiencing stress while engaged in the Metaverse; headset manufacturers will be able to to continuously improve their headsets, and app developers can improve the user experience by changing and personalizing content.”
Dr Daphna Palti-Wasserman explained an additional use case related to player experience and monetization: “Eye-Minders’ algorithms can provide valuable data on player emotional state, interest and engagement continuously and in real-time. This data will help game developers adjust parameters and features to better suit each player’s unique profile and gaming skills, making the player stay in the game longer, which leads to higher player retention.”
