Getac has just announced the addition of the X600 Server and X600 Pro-PCI to its line of premium X600 rugged mobile workstations. Along with the previously released X600 and X600 Pro, the new models will complete a broad range of rugged mobile workstations that are designed specifically to fulfil the needs of professionals working in demanding sectors including defence, manufacturing, and oil & gas.
The completely transportable, robust X600 Server
The brand-new Getac X600 Server offers a potent commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) robust mobile server with a foldable, thin design for simple mobility.
Effective
The X600 Server offers outstanding processing performance thanks to its Intel Xeon W-11855M CPU with Intel Turbo Boost Technology and integrated Intel UHD graphics. Additionally, the X600 can support up to 128GB of DDR4 RAM, and optional ECC (Error Correcting Code) memory works to protect data integrity by spotting and fixing single-bit memory problems.
Complex tasks are made simple to complete in inclement weather thanks to a 1,000 nit, 15.6″ full HD Getac LumiBond® display with sunlight readable technology, and a wide range of connectivity options, including 2.5G BASE-T Ethernet (x2), ensures ultra-fast simultaneous connection with multiple servers and/or networks. Connectivity to additional displays is possible through onboard ThunderboltTM 4 USB-C, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort as and when required.
Agile
The X600 Server’s Windows Server 2022 and Microsoft Hyper-V technologies enable easy and straightforward resource management. When necessary, system administrators can assign resources to various virtual systems based on user demands, assisting in maintaining high levels of productivity all the time.
Upgradeable
Additionally, the X600 Server offers a wide range of expansion possibilities. A hardware-based RAID controller with a RAID 5 configuration improves disc management for the best possible mix of capacity, performance, reliability, and security. Hot-swappable drives and extra storage options are made possible via a second expansion bay.
Protection
Users of the X600 Server may always maximize their level of data protection and privacy thanks to a wide variety of security measures. Its user-removable and toolless solid-state storage discs (SSDs) provide increased data protection while devices are being stored. Additionally, consumers may remove and keep all of their SSDs using Getac’s “keep your hard drive” service should they need to send their device in for repairs. TPM 2.0, Kensington lock compatibility, smart card reader, and optional Intel vPro Technology are further security features.
Fully Robust
The X600 Server is constructed tough from the ground up, much like other Getac equipment. MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G, and IP66 certifications provide customers with security, and the X600 Server can be counted on to function in even the coldest environments thanks to an operational temperature range of -20°F to 145°F (-29°C to 63°F).
All of this combines to provide a strong, portable device that can be immediately deployed for optimal operating efficiency in a variety of difficult conditions for clients in the defense and oil & gas sectors. X600 Pro-PCI: A feature-packed, fully rugged mobile workstation
The X600 Pro-PCI expands on Getac’s previously released X600’s extensive feature set to provide consumers even more capabilities in a single, small device. New features include a regular DVD (or optional Blu-ray) super-multi drive, Express Card 54 and PCMCIA Type II card readers, and two PCI/PCIe expansion ports for add-on card capabilities (such as video capture, data collection, and SATA extension). For all-day functioning, the X600 Pro-PCI also comes with two more hot-swappable batteries, increasing the total number of batteries included with the device to four.

Availability
Both the X600 and X600 Pro are now offered. By the end of Q1 2023, the X600 Server and X600 Pro-PCI will be accessible.
