Google cloud collaborates with Ubitus

A new agreement between Google Cloud and Ubitus K.K., a top provider of cloud streaming technology, has been established with the goal of advancing cloud streaming in the gaming sector. As part of the partnership, Ubitus will operate the bulk of its workloads on Google Cloud and has selected Google Cloud as its primary cloud provider. Also, Google Cloud Marketplace will sell Ubitus’ GameCloud solution, giving developers even greater access to the company’s cloud gaming technology. In order to assist game creators in providing content to gamers globally, Ubitus collaborates with major gaming consoles and publishers.

The cost-performance ratio of game firms has to be greatly improved by streaming technology suppliers. Game developers may let gamers play their favorite games on any hardware (TVs or mobile phones), at any time, and anywhere by shifting hardware requirements to the cloud and streaming pictures in full 4K quality. This aids gaming businesses in expanding their consumer base, creating new revenue prospects, and enhancing user experiences.

The two businesses will collaborate to digitally alter game cloud streaming through:

  • Accelerating market innovation: To enhance the caliber and strength of its streaming and on-demand services for the games industry and beyond—including offerings in the fashion, real estate, and automotive verticals—Ubitus will leverage Google Cloud’s global scale, GPU, and VM resources, and expertise in data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML).
  • Expanding accessibility to streaming services: The Google Cloud Marketplace will now provide Ubitus’ unique GameCloud system, expanding support for content delivery around the globe.
  • Cloud game distribution is being digitally transformed, and Ubitus will use Google Cloud’s open architecture, improved cybersecurity, and data, AI, and ML skills to further optimize cloud game distribution globally.

“Working with Google Cloud, we will provide one of the most flexible and powerful streaming services to meet customers’ go-to-market strategies,” said Wesley Kuo, Founder, and CEO, Ubitus. “Our partnership enables games to more easily distribute high-fidelity and interactive content globally across any device, including PC, mobile, tablet, IPTV, and VR/AR headsets.”

“As we looked to the future of cloud streaming for games at Google, we found that Ubitus’ robust offerings set a new bar for the games industry,” said Jack Buser, Director, of Google Cloud for Games. “Our partnership with Ubitus further underscores Google Cloud’s commitment to powering live service games on any connected device.”
