Palo Alto enhances SASE Solutions with additional features

The single-vendor SASE solution from Palo Alto Networks has been enhanced with additional features that will help businesses automate their increasingly complicated IT and network operations center (NOC) tasks. The business also unveiled solutions to streamline branch administration and protect IoT. Organizations can fully depend on Prisma® SASE to produce improved security results and unleash operational benefits thanks to new AI-powered capabilities.

Prisma SASE Enhances Security Approach and Simplifies Procedures

By 2025, 80% of companies will have adopted a strategy to combine online, cloud services, and private application access using a SASE/SSE architecture, up from 20% in 2021, according to the Gartner® 2022 Roadmap for SASE Convergence report1.

“With so many organizations adopting SASE, it is important to understand that in order to reap the full benefits, they need to move towards a single-vendor SASE approach. A mix-and-match approach increases complexity and makes it challenging to be proactive or isolate issues,” said Kumar Ramachandran, senior vice president for Products, SASE. “With an integrated Prisma SASE, organizations can harness the power of AI across networking and security to enable a great user experience.”

“We recently completed a Zero Trust implementation using Palo Alto Networks Prisma SASE and we have already seen significant improvements in the strength of our security posture,” said Kenneth Ogami, senior vice president, and CIO, U.S., Westfield. “We simultaneously deployed SD-WAN from Palo Alto Networks and massively reduced the complexity and cost of our network management, which is critical in retail right now. With the new AI-powered capabilities, we expect to simplify our network management even further to reduce costs, not to mention strengthening our overall security posture even more.”

Automating Difficult IT Operations with Native AIOps

In order to ensure a fantastic user experience, Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) offers Prisma SASE clients end-to-end observability across their network. With the inclusion of AIOps, ADEM will now assist clients in automating difficult IT and NOC tasks, boosting productivity and cutting mean time to resolution (MTTR). It is no need to deploy extra appliances or agents because ADEM is incorporated within Prisma SASE. The advantages that AIOps for ADEM can bring about are as follows:

  • Using AI-based problem identification and predictive analytics, proactively address issues that may result in service interruptions.
  • Faster (lower MTTR) problem isolation thanks to a user-friendly query interface.
  • Discover network abnormalities easily and rapidly from a single dashboard.

Innovations in SD-WAN to Bring Zero Trust to the Future Branch

Branch sites have never been more hyper-connected and computerized than they are now. The benefit of SASE is that it combines SD-WAN with a Secure Service Edge (SSE) that is offered via the cloud, making management simpler, enabling consistent visibility, and enabling enterprises to use AI/ML for better decision-making.
