Thoma Bravo, a renowned software investment firm, and Sunstone Partners, a pioneer in video-based human insight, have completed the purchase of UserTesting, Inc. in an all-cash deal valued at roughly $1.3 billion, the company said today.
An acquisition deal was announced on October 27, 2022, and it was approved by UserTesting investors during a special meeting of stockholders on January 10, 2023.
In the event of the closing of the deal, investors of UserTesting will be paid $7.50 in cash for each share of UserTesting common stock they previously held. The common stock of UserTesting has been delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and is no longer actively trading.
UserTesting and UserZoom will be merging, as was previously announced; Thoma Bravo bought a controlling stake in UserZoom in April 2022. Andy MacMillan, the current CEO of UserTesting, will take the helm of the united organization.
